Northern Lights Dairy Goat Association - Dist. 4 Togg Specialty - 6/14/08 Judge: Jennifer Lohman-Peterson
This was a fun relaxed show to attend for our first of the year.  We had a good showing with 2 year old Snow White gaining RCH.  There were 24 Sr. does in three age brackets.

Then in a challenge class of 6, GCH Vegas Showgirl came in to win Best of Breed.

That evening at the buck show, our Sr. Herdsire Willow Run Andrew Paragon was B.O.B., this was our first time we were able to show in an official Togg buck class and there was even a challenger.  Paragon went on to be Best Buck In Show with 80 total bucks in the show.

Northern Lights Dairy Goat Assoc. - 6/15/08 - Marshfield, WI - Judge: Emily Thompson The next day Tapestry's Velvet held on to earn Grand and B.O.B. over 26 total Toggs.  Then in the line up she went BDIS and BUIS of 136 Sr. Does.

In the Buck show, Paragon was again BOB.

Heartland Caprines Purina Mills Classic - 6/21/08 - Weeping Water, NE - Judge: Richard Grossman  This is a nice one day two ring show with plenty of good competition.  There were 19 Sr. Togg does.  Velvet was GCH and BOB then went on to get BDIS with 148 Sr. does in the show!
 
 

Heartland Caprines Purina Mills Classic - 6/21/08 - Weeping Water, NE - Judge: Jeff Klein  In this ring Schmidt/ECF Tapestry's Velvet was again GCH (making her permanent GCH status pending) but paternal sister Vegas Showgirl beat her out for BOB.
 

2008 ADGA National Show - Louisville, KY  Judge: Ray Vieira  Consulting Judge: Kristina Bozzo-Baldenegro

We had good in Louisville at the National Show this year, where we even got away to have some family fun.  We took 19 animals, 12 were Jrs. and 7 were Sr. does.  6 of the juniors went on to 5 new homes.  11/12 juniors and 6/7 Seniors made the cut.  Highlights:
3rd place 3 year old with 2nd place udder Schmidt/ECF Vegas Showgirl.
3rd place Jr. Get - Cherry Glen Hotrod Amen
3rd place Best 3 Jr. Does
2nd place Sr. Get of Sire - White-Hawk Ranger's Jack Pine
Callie was 6th in Int. 1 showmanship and 9th in the Jr. Management and Judging
Kara was 8th in Int. 2 showmanship and Premier Jr Togg Exhibitor and Premier Jr. Youth Exhibitor.

North Iowa Fair - 7/26/08 - Mason City, IA - Judge: Jerome Mensch  This show is too soon after Nationals but we always have fun anyway.  Snow White was Reserve Sr. Doe.
 

Sioux Empire Fair Ring 1- 8/9/08 - Sioux Falls, SD - Judge: Todd Harp  Schmidt/ECF SS Tessa was Jr. grand Champion, while Schmidt/ECF Snow White went Sr. Grand and CH Tea Rose was Best of Breed of 24 does.

Sioux Empire Fair Ring 2- 8/9/08 - Sioux Falls, SD - Judge: Patricia Ricotta  Blacktop Farm Vivian was Sr. Grand, Schmidt/ECF Snow White was Reserve Grand.  GCH Vegas Showgirl was Best of Breed of 24 does

Iowa State Fair Open Show - 8/15-16/08 - Des Moines, IA - Judge: Jeff Klein    In the Jr. Show Schmidt/ECF SS Cabaret was Jr. Grand and Schmidt/ECF SS Tessa was Reserve Jr.  Cabaret who is a daughter of Vegas Showgirl went on to be Best Jr. Doe in Show of 214 Jr. Does.  In the Sr. Show we had 1st place Sr. Get with White-Hawk Ranger's Jack Pine and were Premier Toggenburg Breeder.

Bluff Country Classic- 9/13-14/08 - Caledonia, MN - Judges: Tom Considine, Ed Jodlowski, Don Bergfield  Our first fuzzy wuzzy show.  It was a very well run show and we had a lot of fun.  We showed in three of the 4 rings.  Highlights include  High Maintenance earning a BJDIS of 131 doelings in Ed Jodlowski's ring.   Wis-Tea-Ria was Reserve Grand in Don Bergfield's ring.   Snow White was Grand in Ed Jodlowski's ring (earning her permanent CH), and GCH Vegas Showgirl was Best of Breed in all three rings shown, and BDIS in Jodlowski's ring.  There were 24 Sr. Toggs shown in the 3 rings and 108 Sr. Does for the Best in show. 
  As a indication of the quality at this show the challenge class consisted of 5 does, 4 of which placed in the Top 3 of their respective classes with udder placings at the 2008 National Show.
